Sorry.. what?

Did you know that individuals with ADHD frequently struggle with processing verbal information? This explains why people often respond with “What?” and then immediately answer the question they apparently didn’t hear. It simply takes the brain extra time to process it.

This is also why I always dozed off during lectures in university when there were no visual elements 😂

Therefore, while it may be beneficial to listen to books on D3 or lectures like Wine With Jimmy and similar resources when you’re driving a car or in other situations where it’s the only way to study, it should only serve as a review of the material, not the initial processing of it.

Listening may work for neurotypicals, but it doesn’t work for the ADHD brain. We need to immerse ourselves in the material and incorporate visual and tactile elements, otherwise we won’t remember anything about it after 5 minutes.

So yes, listening to those lectures may seem like a convenient and quick source of dopamine, but it won’t guarantee you a passing grade on the exam.
